So you're persimmon, eh?

It’s my first time to eat a persimmon fruit. I’ve heard of it before and just drool at the thought of it. I saw it at the mall today and snatched the chance to satiate my curious palate.

I actually love the taste beacuse it's so sweet.

Aaaah~ hohoho (^o^)~! ♥

Today's Confession

As much as I wanted to project a happy and carefree personality, it strikes me back and I'm only fooling myself. I've never been truly happy and it gets hard for me to live by every day.

Adam Couple ~ THE END.

As you may know I am fascinated with the Korean pop culture to some extent. Recently, I’ve been watching a reality TV series aired in Korea. I happen to know this television show a few days ago through several online portals. Moreover, the program is entitled 우리 결혼했어요 (We got Married) and is considerably popular in Korea. Actually it is a reality program wherein celebrities and music idols are paired to virtually live a married life. I find the show very much exciting and the couple that I was most charmed about is Jo Kwon and Gain.

Honestly, I had to do a marathon of their first appearance (from October 2008) on the show up until latest episode. Watching through each is thrilling for me. ᄏᄏᄏ! Relatively known as the “Adam couple” or the “Petite couple”, Jo Kwon and Gain captured my interest mostly. Gain is senior of two years to Jo Kwon and is the serious, cautious, and less expressive type whereas Jo Kwon has a comical, spur-of-the-moment and fairly adaptive personality. Their pairing and how their relationship evolved in the show is quite out of the ordinary but enough to receive love and capture curiosity from viewers. Personally, they do look good together and seemed to be perfect for each other.

On the other hand, an ultimate bummer struck me in awe. It took me at least about six days to finish downloading and viewing 65 episodes. But my anticipation for their story to develop is cut short. News has it that their virtual marriage is going to end and are now filming their last episode. It’s good to know that their appearance on the show took them to the height of their career but they have to sacrifice it to better focus on rather important activities. The news certainly made me down especially because I've known the show for fairly a short time.

It’s a tough luck for me as I was really absorbed to how their affection progressed and their true feelings unfold for each other. Now that their virtual connection is halted I can only wish they’d heighten their relationship and work it through reality. To Jo Kwon and Gain I wish you all the best. 파이팅!

P.S.

Hayst! I need to find me some new diversion since I’m still waiting for good news to come. ♥

Melvonn: Optimistic, Hopeful, and Fresh

The thing that’s so special about the New Year is that it gives you a positive vibe and an optimistic attitude to face a fresh start in life. It provides you the opportunity to recall on the past, recollect significant moments, and ponder upon our choices and decisions. The New Year paves way for us to redeem ourselves from our shortcomings and to inspire us in making the most out of our lifetime.

Every day I always look forward to a great day ahead of me. Though when things don’t work out my way, to accept and to look on the brighter side is the manner I do. I consider it as my motivation and a learning to move on. Now I have a whole new year to look forward to. Nonetheless, I hope that this year would be good to me and fulfill my dreams and expectations. I know I am new person emerging from all life’s challenges and polished by untimely circumstances.

With confidence I am ready to pace through the time knowing that God is with me. ♥

Home bound.

Now that reviews are over and the board examination is done, it's time to say goodbye to Davao. I’ve had quite a wonderful experience to be in a whole new environment and meeting several individuals. Moreover, i’ve gained a lot of learning, been to exciting places and experienced thrilling moments with friends. But after four months of being here it is undeniable that it's time to leave.

Honestly, this is the longest time I've been away from home and finally I am headed back to my hometown. Though, in good conscience, I am not totally excited to go home for the reason that I know our house is a mess when I get back but I am missing my family and my dog big time. Needless to say, I need to be home-based soon. ~ [All smiles]

I just hope that all things are in their right places when I arrive.

Then again, goodbye to Davao.

Eh-eh eh-eh-eh eh-eh I'm 21: A post-birthday update

Well, I was actually hoping that no one would remember. Honestly, I didn’t want any celebration to occur. I confess that the delight and anticipation for my birthdate was dwarfed by my anxiety for the upcoming boards. hohoho~ I actually thought to myself that I have no right to be merry or be cheerful at all, especially this early. That’s the primary reason why I wasn’t so excited to cause for a celebration.

Every time people try to ask me about my birthdate I just attempt a modest smile and politely look away. I initially try to deny if someone guesses the right date until someone said, “Hindi kapasa sa board ang mag-tinikal!” I was caught off-guard with that statement and, of course, with nerves running through me I told them that it’s on the 28th this month. The board exam is everything for me. It’s as if it’s between life and death, it’s everything or nothing at all. I have to and I need to pass. Nevertheless, I believe in myself and my capacity.

So now that everybody knows ‘when’, the next questions are ‘where’ and ‘how’. [I was undeniably right!] Although it was obvious I have no escape. I offer no affirmation to their suggestions but a beam of shy grin.

Coincidentally, St. Jude Thaddeus’ feast is on the 28th as well. So we went to church and pray to the patron of the desperate and the lost. Still hoping that their insistence would die a natural death. I told them that I’m bargaining for a sign if I was to treat them. But the sense of right and wrong streamed a bright light. >.<

I gave in to their demand and we went to a local all-you-can eat buffet. Though to think that I could have bought a pair of jeans and shirt from a high-end store with the money I spent. I  hope that somehow I imparted a humble amount of happiness to them.

This years’ celebration is different from the previous years. Nonetheless, I consider this a special one. Moreover, I would like to thank these people for surprising me on the eve of my birthday. Especially to those who came up with the idea. It was a first and it touched my heart. Thank you. ♥

Ito talaga ang Sentimyento ko

I have always been critical about this certain topic ever since. Now the event that has been knocking on me and all the more in dreams is unfolding in days' time. I find review classes as a critical tool in preparation for a major battle, that is, the nursing licensure examination. Moreover, I also think that it's a form of assessment of how I was as a student before. I admit that I wasn't that outstanding of a learner. Probably I am on the average scale, I may come short at times but I definitely redeem myself on that note. Looking back, of course, I have had my own regrets. Anyhow, I'd be more serious and focused this time around.

I am now en route for my ultimate judgment. Even if I won't emerge through this with flying colors, I know that I will face a humble success. Yet, I pray for optimism and the determination that will never fade.

I know that God is with me through this and His Holy Spirit is guiding me. Though I am aware that the major effort will come from me. Nonetheless, whoever gets to read this I hope that you are praying for me as well. ♥

38 NO MORE

My long kept prayers for a new television is finally answered. (^o^)~ Gone are the days that even our television upsets me. Cliche as you may think but the long wait is really worthwhile. Now we have a new one, it's edgy, big, and it has a lot of channels. [clap! clap! clap!]

The previous one that we had has only 38 channels available to show. I don't know but a harsh reality. Anyway, what would you expect from a second-hand Chinese-made television? Not so much I guess. Nonetheless, it still gave me the entertainment I needed before. Honestly, I do appreciate that old lousy box with moving images. kekeke

I missed pretty much a lot from my favorite channels and TV shows. But I won't fuss, not anymore. 38 no more!

the TV table is a little bit dusty. :p

Bliss~ ♥

Pizza, Carnival and Bargain Escape

When it comes to snacks and foodstuffs my friends and I wouldn't miss it for the world. There's a new pizzeria established at our hometown a few weeks ago. Tia Nina is the name of the latest eating place, and aside from pizza they also serve pasta, refreshments and the likes. Actually, we've heard of the place only by ear but we were amazed because they served larger size pizzas. It caught our interest straight out. Sure as can be, I was more inclined to see how it looks than how it tastes. (^o^)~

Quite a few people were there probably brought about by the T'nalak Festival. The place is relatively closed in but nonetheless accommodating. The staff prepares the pizza upfront. Though like any other business establishments serving foods and drinks it takes a while until what you ordered is served. Funny how I can picture my friends' faces for some modest stomach grumbling. I actually came after them because my family and I had our dinner from somewhere, somehow I was satiated when I came.

While waiting, we spent the time for some small talk and of course some dissing and mocking like we always do. ~~ and DOCUMENTATION. (^w^)~!

They ordered an extra large sized pizza. A thin crust pizza with 16 slices, though I don't exactly know what flavor/recipe it was. It tastes really good minus the slight burns in the crust.

The evening was still young after our pizza experience and besides it's the eve of the fiesta. We decided to head to ProTech Center for some entertainment. It took us a long time and some cash at the carnival because we were caught by the heavy rain. After the rain, we went in to some stalls stationed outside ProTech Center. Moreover, we also went to some bargain stores fixed alongside the streets.

Remy gets to be the photographer most of the time. ~kekeke
I really had a fun night and enjoyed much of it. Thanks to my friends who keep me company always. ♥

Lazy Lazy Day

It's been raining the whole day today. Honestly, for me, I really feel a sense of warmth with this type of cold weather. Ahhh~~

I only visioned of one desirable way to better spend this day and that is --- SLEEPING.  kekeke~~ I didn't even open my reviewer today. Anyway, I'll be getting sleepy eventually. A good reason to be lazy. >.<

But seriously, what I love about the rain is the touch of the cool wind and the symphony it creates as it pours. ♩♫♬ It seems as though, for me, the rain provides a positive atmosphere. Just a relaxing feel. (^o^)~

Oh well, I just wanted to share. OK~! Imma get bed down, catch a wink and doze off. ♥
